Exactly 1 year ago, I discovered the people who would make my first drop; a small-batch collection of four unique colour way quilted jackets. This week, I re-visited them at the @global.sourcing.expo in Melbourne.
To reunite with them, wearing one of the jackets they made, was honestly indescribable!! Over the course of a year, we worked hard together to bring my vision to life, and I’m so grateful and proud of what we have achieved.
During our catch-up, we talked about Drop no. 1 - what went well, what we could improve on - and the next Drop (I left with countless fabric swatches, so watch this space!).
There’s nothing I appreciate more than the “process” - the time some things take, the patience required, playing the long game, and likewise, feeling like you’re getting somewhere! My makers have been a huge part of WOVIEN’s process, and I’m thankful for all they have taught me and what the future holds.
